YSL Philanthropy: Charity...Hunger...Humanitarian
YSL's goal is to raise $2000 or more for each organization through fundraising events and monetary donations. We encourage members, their family and friends, church members and co-workers to help us meet our goals.
Each organization is 501 (c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service, making all donations Tax-deductible. Donations can be made directly to the organizations through their website on a YSL page. This provides receipts for donations made to the organization on behalf of our fundraising event.
CHARITY
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. (Source: St. Jude website)

Musical Event Planned - June, 2019
Goal: $1000 - $2000 to go directly to St. Jude Children's Hospital through their website
Since 1974, our network of local Chapters have been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together – giving them a place to rest and refresh. A place that feels like home. These programs, tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, can now be found in 58 countries and regions across the globe. (Source: rmhc website)

Goal: $1000 to go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charity through their website.
HUMANITARIAN
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through five key service areas. (source The American Red Cross website)
Mission: To raise funds during the year to assist The American Red Cross with distribution of aide.
Goal: "Furnish an Apartment" to donate furniture, household items and decorations to furnish apartments for families devastated by fire. Instead of holding Garage Sales, YSL Members hold "Clean Out the Garage Day" during the Spring and Summer.
FIGHTING HUNGER
Feeding America understands hunger! It is the leading domestic hunger relief organization, with network food banks serving every state. Feeding America’s nationwide network of over 200 food banks provides food and groceries to 33,500 food pantries, 4,500 soup kitchens and 3,600 emergency shelters. This extensive network helps feed 37 million Americans each year -- delivering over 3 billion pounds of food. Each week nearly 5.7 million people receive emergency food assistance from an agency served by a Feeding America member.
Mission: Each year our goal increases to meet our food bank demands. Every dollar donated has the possibility to provide 10 meals to our neighbors in need.
Goal: A yearly donation drive to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for the people in our neighborhoods through our Fundraiser on Feeding America's website.
