Faith and Good Deeds

James 2:14-17

YSL strongly believes that combination of Fatih and Good Deeds is an important aspect of living a Christian lifestyle because it:

  • Puts the Scriptures into action

  • Demonstrate Christ-like character

  • Reinforces spirituality and faith

  • Provides personal fulfillment

King James Version

"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."

New International Version

"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."
