Prayer Focus - God's Will to be done

Matthew 26:39 “Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.’”

Waiting to find out what God’s Will is concerning our lives, purpose, gifts and callings or perhaps how to solve a troubling issue can be difficult, especially when we’ve been desperately seeking Him. However, we shouldn’t question God’s love for us or be too critical of our trust in Him. And, we should always want His perfect Divine Will to be done in our lives.

Application and Prayer Journal Entry:

Being honest, journal how hard it is for you to pray that God’s will be done in a situation in your life. Identify the fear you have concerning it.

In what area of your life are you seeking God’s Will to be revealed?

Reflection: Pages 22 – 24

Accepting God’s Will when we pray about something in particular is not only a confession of trust and faith, but our willingness to be obedient as well.

Prayer and Prayer Journal Entry:
