Day 7: Forgiveness - Dr. S. Walker
00:0000:00

Prayer Focus - Forgiveness

Ephesians 1:7 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.”

Redemption is the deliverance, release or rescue from guilt which is the grip Satan wants to have over our hearts and minds to keep us in bondage.  However, his grip has been loosened by the sacrificial blood of Christ that appeased God; freeing us from the penalty and slavery of our sins.

Application:

Identify what, where and the specific times you feel guilt. For example: do you feel guilt, unforgiven or unworthy when you are in need of a specific blessing. Is there a specific place you visit that reminds you of past sins causing you to feel downhearted?

After you’ve done this, write your declaration of faith in the atonement and Jesus’ sacrifice that freed you from all guilt. Confess that you believe God has forgiven you.

Scripture Study:

Study and then write your interpretation of these Scriptures as it would apply to you and today’s prayer focus.

Romans 3:24 “and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 2:4-5”But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace ye are saved.”

Prayer:

Ask the Lord to take control of the guilt you feel over a mistake you made in your life. Allow the Holy Spirit to purge you of its effect that keeps you feeling in bondage or hindered. Call upon the name of the Lord and plead His blood. Confess your acceptance of forgiveness and freedom with praise and thanksgiving to God.

Worship: (allow a few minutes to load)
